Triterpenes
Triterpenes consist of six isoprene units and are derived from the molecular formula C30H48.
C30 hydrocarbons are formed by the Association of three monoterpene C10.
Examples:
Squalene, occured in insaponifiables of oils of Olea europaea fruit, flaxseed, peanut, is an intermediate in the biogenesis of cyclic triterpenes and steroids.
